Here is a starter list of websites that I found usefull so far:

http://website.grader.com This site analizes your website and calculates a score on how well your website was written and the quality of your backlinks and tags.

http://www.submitexpress.com This website has some cool tools like checking the popularity of your website according to alexa traffic and backlinks. It also has a meta tag analizer and keyword suggestion tool and it will automatically submit your website to many search engines for free.

http://www.smartpagerank.com This website will analize your website and list backlinks etc. and alsu calculates the value of your website according to traffic and backlinks etc.

My website, http://www.globidate.com, has a value of $88 and a popullarity of 372 and a score of 63 at the moment. I've been reading up on how to increase it too much and did to little.
I will keep on compiling my list of websites and tools so keep on wathing this blog.

How to get your website pageranked

Here is the truth about search engine optimization. It's not as easy to get page ranked as anyone is trying to tell you online. I will try to put all the links together that will assist you in getting your website noticed but it might take some time seing as that I'm also still searching for more links. I have an online dating website that I'm testing all this stuff on. You can view it at http://www.globidate.com/.

Firstly we'll need to find keywords that are popular. Search them in google or yahoo

Second we need to list with as many search engines and web directories as possible.Many free url submitters are available. Search the words "free url submission" and choose a few or all of them.

Third we need to get bookmarks to your site. Go to http://www.deliciuous.com/. Create an account, its free and create a bookmark to your website's url. Let your friends also do this for you. The more the better.

Fourth we need to get your website mentioned in blogs to give more search results in searchengines. Go to http://www.digg.com/, http://www.blogger.com/, etc. and make free accounts and write something about your site and also mention the url in your blog. Have your friends do the same for you. The more times your site is mentioned by different people,the more results it will get.

Fith we need to advertise the url in as many free classified ads websites we can find. Also try http://www.gumtree.com/. They let you advertise for fre on their site. When I say as many as you can I don't meen one or two, I mean hundreds to thousands. This will take time but soon you will notice that your site's rank will start to increase. This is called "Building backlinks". You get links back to your site from the ad site. If you know people that have websites, ask them if they are willing to put a link to your site on theirs and do the same for them (link exchange).
All the above mentioned methods are free of charge. Rankings you need to care about are googles pagerank and alexa traffic rank. I will compile a list of tools to post here in my next post.

Programs that come in very handy in finding the right keywords and optimizing your website for maximum search engine friendlyness are SEOElite and KeywordElite. You cannot be without these programs.

For my website I chose keywords that are searched for frequently and that have a high pay to click value. Keywords like "online dating" are searched for quite frequently and are worth a little bit of money too. The high PTC value will help you earn more money from a google adsense ad on your site. This is a good way to earn extra cash from your website for doing absolutely nothing.

There are also many search engine optimization services available on the internet to help you get the most out of your website.
